HF400 PERIMETRIC SECURITY SYSTEM
 

HF400 sensor is a device designed to protect the external perimeter of facilities. It is especially recommended for protecting large sites such as airports, military sites, industrial facilities, water intakes, material storage sites. Its principle of operation is based on detection of disruptions of electromagnetic field in a zone formed by a pair of sensing cables. The cables are spaced in parallel 0.5 m to 2.5 m from each other, and buried 15 - 50 cm below ground along the perimeter of the protected area, forming an invisible spatial detection zone.

Unlike the surface and fence-based perimeter systems, when installed, the HF400 sensor is completely invisible to potential intruders, preventing them from remotely detecting this perimeter security system and preparing in advance to penetrate it. Detection of the HF400 system through radio frequency scanning is difficult because of low levels of energy emitted by the transmitting cable. The sensor being below the ground surface is highly resistant to tamper attempts and accidental damages. Possible cable damages do not require the replacement of the whole cable and cables can be easily repaired in field conditions.

Depending on the version, the HF400 sensor can be configured to operate in two modes: standalone or networked. In the standalone mode, the HF400 sensor is completely autonomous from other HF400 sensors operating in the system and protects two independent zones up to the length of 200 m each. Communication with the control unit is ensured via relay outputs of the HF400 sensor, or by one of its communication interfaces (RS-485 or RS-232).

In the networked configuration, HF400 sensors are daisy chained into so-called cascades and their sensing cables are used to supply power and to transmit data signals. This solution simplifies the cable layout of the entire system, as no separate power supply and data transmission cables must be provided for each of the sensors. It is enough to connect these cables to any of the cascade modules. One cascade may include up to 5 HF400 sensors, which can secure a perimeter with the maximum total length of 2 km.

The HF400 sensor processes the signals entirely digitally. This approach ensures high probability of intruder detection while minimizing the likelihood of the HF400 sensor generating false alarms, triggered by natural factors. Digital signal processing algorithms implemented in HF400 sensor software allow for efficient detection of intruders with minimum weight between 20 kg and 100 kg, moving at a speed between 5 cm/s and 15 m/s. Both the minimum body weight and the minimum and maximum speed of the intruder are programmable in the sensor during installation and calibration.

HF400 sensor automatically adapts to changes in environmental conditions such as precipitation or variations in soil moisture. System adaptability is so efficient that the sensor can operate under completely waterlogged conditions.

The Field_H service software makes installation, commissioning, calibration and subsequent monitoring of the operation of the HF400 sensor as easy as possible. HF400 sensor calibration is simple and intuitive. It involves a series of passes through the detection zone that are recorded by the Field_H service software, with the appropriate set-up of the HF400 sensor.
